Healthcare providers within Northwestern BC valued CHARLiE’s 24/7, timely and collegial virtual assessments of patients and benefited from offloading indirect patient care tasks. Video communication provided effective support, enhanced trust, and reduced transfers. The provision of support to communities reduced the burnout of local specialists. Areas of improvement included addressing technological barriers, knowledge of local resources, access to documentation, and continuity of care.
