Q: Where do you live? 

A: Sun Peaks, BC.

 

Q: What is your position at RCCBC? 

A: I joined on board as the Director, Engagement and Outreach.

 

Q: What does that mean?   

A: I have oversight to the various engagement and outreach mechanisms of RCCbc. Through engagement and outreach RCCbc connects with rural communities and people to guide and shape our work.

 

Q: Describe RCCbc in three words.   

A: Connected, genuine, fun.

 

Q: What motivated you to join RCCbc?   

A: I was attracted the innovative, nimble and collaborative culture of RCCbc, plus, having grown up in Prince George and now living in Sun Peaks, I am passionate about the strength and creativity of rural, remote and Indigenous communities!

 

Q: What do you like most about your job?   

A: The intentional focus on connection, empathy and understanding; the encouragement of innovation and creativity; and most of all, the people!

 

Q: What do you like to do on your days off?

A: In the winter, downhill skiing and in the summer, gardening and biking. Year round: running!

 

Q: What one thing can you not live without?

A: Sunscreen! I spend lots of time outside so I try to be careful about sun exposure.
