The purpose of this program is to encourage fourth year undergraduate medical students to spend additional time in rural physician’s offices. REAP provides funding to UBC medical students who spend elective time in RSA communities during their 4th year. Students may apply for a housing allowance (stipend) of $250/week for up to 12 weeks to help offset the cost of accommodation. In addition, REAP provides reimbursement of up to $800 of travel expenses per rotation.
For a list of eligible communities, please visit the RSA Community page. Please note that rotations completed in Prince George are not eligible for this funding.
