The CARE Course goes WILDE! will bring experienced rural physicians, nurses and pre-hospital providers together to live and learn for three fun-filled days. Up to 24 inter-professional participants will camp for three nights on a property just outside of Pemberton, 40 minutes north of Whistler.
Bring your own tent / van / hammock, sleeping bag & outdoor gear (waterproofs, footwear, flashlight etc, small backpack, etc.) Healthy, hearty and wholesome food will be provided each day. (This really is glamping as the course is fully catered indoors on the property). This course offers all the usual content from The CARE Course (airway, trauma, cardiac, pediatric/neonatal and obstetrical emergency care – for the rural practitioner) plus doing some of those things in a ‘wilderness’ / outdoor setting and includes some niche wilderness medicine topics.
