Reducing administrative burden for physicians was a key priority of the 2022 Physician Master Agreement. The use of an AI (ambient) scribe has the potential to reduce the time spent on documenting patient visits, increase the quality of the notes, and also increase the amount of time physicians can spend providing care.
To support this priority, the Joint Standing Committee on Rural Issues will provide funding for a one-time licence for one year starting on April 1, 2025. We would like to invite BC rural and remote physicians to subscribe to a platform of their choice after which we will provide reimbursement upon producing a receipt for up to $1000. This opportunity will be on a first come, first served basis – up to a maximum of 800 subscriptions.
