Planetary health links human well-being with the health of the planet. It calls for action on challenges like climate change, the healthcare system’s environmental footprint, and resource overuse—issues deeply impacting rural, remote, and Indigenous communities. RCCbc supports rural, remote, and Indigenous healthcare providers, communities, and partners in adopting sustainable practices to improve health outcomes today, ensure healthcare provision is tailored and ready for climate change, and preserve resources for future generations.

Green Acts for Big Impact
Green Acts for Big Impact is a Community of Practice co-led by the Rural Coordination Centre of BC and Health Quality BC. It’s a space for rural and remote clinicians to connect, share ideas, and take practical steps toward low-carbon, high-quality care.
We meet once every two months to share ideas, highlight innovations, build relationships, and problem-solve together. Whether you’re already working on green initiatives or just getting started, this is your space to learn, contribute, and help shape solutions that make sense for rural care.
Sign up to get invites and updates. Let’s make a difference—together.
