The Isolation Allowance Funds (IAF) are available for physicians providing necessary medical services in eligible RSA communities with fewer than four physicians and no hospital, and who do not receive Medical On-call Availability Program (MOCAP), Call-Back or Doctor of the Day payments.
- The amount payable per physician is dependent on the number of physicians available in the community and the community’s degree of isolation, as determined by the annual RRP point assesment process.
- Payments are calculated and disbursed on an annual basis.
- For 2011/12, the payments ranged from $12,403 to $71,420 per physician.
