Equipment used: Programmable full body simulators for real time resuscitation and practice

This course travels to all community hospitals in Interior Health

Topics covered:

  • Critical procedures, approaches to emergency conditions (trauma, dysrhythmias, toxicology, etc), (has varied from an “airway” day to a “general emerg” day)

Learning objectives:

  • Update on rural emergency medicine
  • Have ACLS and ATLS concepts reinforced
  • Practice team management

Procedural skills learned:

Practice real time trauma and emergency
