Equipment used: course manual to supplement the course content, practical and technical skill stations; practical work laboratory using animals and cadavers

This course travels across Canada and has been offered in Vancouver in 2012 and 2013

Topics covered:

Life threatening surgical conditions are discussed in a decision making matrix and hands-on surgical expertise is obtained both in cadaver and live anaesthetised animal skill stations.

Learning objectives:

Designed for the demanding and specific aspects of definitive surgical management of torso and head trauma.

Procedural skills learned:

Strengthens the performance of established and new procedures specially required in trauma surgery
