The purpose of this program is to encourage third year undergraduate medical students to spend a minimum of four weeks in rural physicians’ offices during their Rural Family Practice Clerkship rotations. Students may apply for a housing allowance (stipend) of $250/week to help offset the cost of accommodation. In addition, REAP provides reimbursement of up to $800 of travel expenses per rotation. Students may also apply to extend their rural studies for up to four additional weeks, pending available funding. For travel reimbursement policies, please see page 2 of the claim form below.
