Rural POCUS Rounds: Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction

Join Dr. Tracy Morton on Friday, Jun. 20, 2025 for a talk on Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction.
Learning Objectives:
1. Review LV cardiac function and activity
2. Estimate systolic function through:
- EPSS – end point septal separation
- Fractional shortening
- VTI – volume time integral assessment at the LV outflow tract (LVOT) to calculate stroke volume
- Visual estimates of LV ejection fraction (EF)
3. Analyze cases to estimate EF
4. Recognize Regional Wall Motion Abnormalities of the LV
