Psychological preparedness for adverse events

Author Clara MacDonald proposes proactive psychological preparedness as a strategy to lessen the emotional impact of adverse events and promote resilience. This approach has potential benefits to patient safety, quality, and system improvements, and a reduction of the shame-and-blame medical culture.

Funding gets rural chronic disease project off the ground 

RCCbc is partnering with Tumbler Ridge and Port Alberni, along with healthcare partners the Institute for Personalized Therapeutic Nutrition (IPTN) and the Institute for Health System Transformation and Sustainability (IHSTS) to tackle chronic disease thanks to a funding boost from Healthcare Excellence Canada (HEC).
