Q: Where do you live?
A: Oliver, South Okanagan Valley, BC
Q: What is your position at RCCBC?
A: I’m an Associate Director, RCCbc and a Reference Group Coordinator.
Q: What does that mean?
A: I help as requested in various areas. I support the Reference Group as a safe forum where questions pertaining to healthcare can be discussed.
Q: Describe RCCbc in three words.
A: Innovative, flexible, stimulating.
Q: What motivated you to join RCCbc?
A: A desire to simplify the teaching load for rural preceptors dealing with UBC. As a member of the JSC the need for a coordinating office became increasingly obvious.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The relationships and comraderie at all levels. We have wonderful people with passion, initiative and a large degree of autonomy.
Q: What has been one of your proudest moments working at / with RCCbc?
A: Standing at an RCCbc Christmas gathering and realising that we have collectively built something special.
Q: Where is your favourite place in British Columbia?
A: Paddling down the Stikine river.
Q: What one thing we might be surprised to learn about you?
A: I’m a wannabe potter.
Q: What is the next item on your bucket list?
A: A private pilot’s licence.
