Q: What is your position at RCCBC?

A: Marketing and Communications Specialist

Q: What does that mean?

A: I support the wider RCCbc team in creating quality, engaging communications materials that highlight the fantastic work they do. Through design, digital content and storytelling, together with the communications team I help create ways to meaningfully connect with our network and communities.

Q: Describe RCCbc in three words.

A: Innovative, relationship-based, thoughtful.

Q: What motivated you to join RCCbc?

A: I wanted to know that the work I’m doing contributes to something bigger than myself, and has the opportunity to have real impact on improving the lives of others. Through their humble approach and dedication to creating a culturally safe work environment, I could tell that RCCbc is an organization that is committed to standing by their values.

Q: What do you like to do on your days off?

A: I like to get outdoors and enjoy the many beautiful areas accessible near Vancouver. I wouldn’t call myself athletic, but human powered transport is my go-to, so I’m always looking for new places I can bike, hike or paddle to.

Q: Where is your favourite place in British Columbia?

A: The Southern Gulf Islands are one of my favourite places to visit for a quick weekend escape on my bike. I love trying all the local produce, camping on the sea front and watching out for whales.
