Get to know Caitlin

Q: Where do you live? 

A: I’m currently based in Nanaimo.

 

Q: What is your position at RCCBC? 

A: I’m a Core Member, part of the BC Rural Health Conference Scientific Committee, and also a part of the Thriving Project. 

 

Q: What does that mean?   

A: I work with the amazing RHC crew to plan the scientific content of the BC Rural Health Conference and also get to spend time with Tandi and Allison thinking about how to support wellness.

 

Q: Describe RCCbc in three words.   

A: Loving. Imaginative. Agile.

 

Q: What motivated you to join RCCbc?   

A: The community of people. Right from day one RCC has always felt like family.

 

Q: What do you like most about working at / with RCCbc?

A: It feels like working in a rural community. Everyone is excited about your input and
encourages you to run with your ideas. The sky is the limit.

 

Q: What has been one of your proudest moments working at / with RCCbc?

Being part of the BC Rural Health Conference.. 2022 was my first year on the BC RHC Scientific Committee. I’m super proud of how the weekend came together and what put together as a team.

 

Q: What do you like to do on your days off?

A: I have a three year old so….parenting? In any other stage of life, knit and drink tea.

 

Q: Where is your favourite place in British Columbia?

A: Daajing Giids. And also Rugged Point on the west coast of Vancouver Island
