Q: Where do you live? 

A: I live on Gabriola Island, the unceded territory of the Snuneymuxw people .

Q: What is your position at RCCBC? 

A: Virtual Medical Office Assistant, Real-Time Virtual Support.

Q: What does that mean?   

A: I help our team of RTVS doctors connect with practitioners and their patients across the province. A VMOA manages the communication and admin details relating to these encounters, to better allow practitioners to focus on patient care.

A: Compassionate, Innovative, Friendly.

Q: What motivated you to join RCCbc?   

A: Having enjoyed working in supportive roles in healthcare and the emergency services on my small island, I saw an opportunity with RCCbc as a way to help improve access for people in communities like mine across the province.

Q: What do you like most about working at / with RCCbc?

A: Getting to say YES when people call asking for help! I get to talk to other healthcare professional from all over the province, learn about their communities, and help get them to resources they need, no matter why they’re calling.

Q: What has been one of your proudest moments working at / with RCCbc?

A: Being a small part of a chain of events that saved a patients life.

A: Gardening and other chores around my small farm.

A: Surf Grove and Green Point campgrounds in Tofino.
