The Rural Locum Forum is back for 2025! Join us on February 8th for an opportunity to connect in-person with rural locums from across British Columbia.
WHEN: Saturday, February 8th, 2025 | 8:00am – 1:30pm
WHERE: Vancouver Island Conference Centre, 101 Gordon St, Nanaimo, BC V9R 5J8
With an agenda designed for both new and seasoned locums, this half-day CME will include educational presentations, and engagement sessions, plus space to socialize and exchange experiences of rural practice with other locums. Topics will include a guide to locuming in BC and tips and tricks for thriving in the rural ER.
Examples of topics:
- Preparing for your first locum and supports for rural locums
- Management of Rapid Atrial Fibrillation: Stable vs. Unstable
- Management of Airway Emergencies in the Rural ER
Additional Information:
- Registration includes breakfast, refreshments, and lunch.
- If visiting from out of town, accommodation is available in Nanaimo. We advise booking early and recommend the Coast Bastion Hotel. When booking you can request provincial government rates. Note: on arrival you will need to show identification to verify that you work in healthcare.
Fees: Physicians: $95 | Residents: $45
Registration deadline: February 3, 2025. On-site registrations will be available on the day.
