BC Prehospital Retrieval Medicine Conference
Med Response BC’s 2026 BC Prehospital Retrieval Medicine Conference provides local networking opportunities, highlights current system challenges and successes, and explores international best practices in PHRM. Delivered through a hybrid model, it is designed to engage clinicians, administrators, and other interested collaborators.
Target Audience: BC Physicians, nurses, health leaders, paramedics
Objectives:
- Address rural health inequities by raising awareness of the importance of retrieval and transfer medicine.
- Disseminate knowledge and promote discussion of ways to address gaps in prehospital and retrieval (transfer medicine) in British Columbia, particularly those living in rural and remote communities.
- Enable interested physicians and other providers to network and learn from each other and from invited local and international speakers.
- Highlight the role of interprofessional teams in PHRM.
Conference Structure:
- Single track in one room
- Keynote session(s) and smaller sessions that include 3 x 20 min talks and a 15 min Q&A
- Networking sessions
- Lunch & coffee breaks
