Island Medicine Conference: Updates, Skills & Networking

Register for this year’s Island Medicine Conference – a great inter-island community conference designed for all health care professionals working either on the island or elsewhere.
June 2 (Fri) | Main Conference | Victoria Conference Centre
This day’s agenda will be a mix of plenary sessions, breakouts, and panel discussions. The focus is on topics seen by health care professionals every day in practice. Tailor your educational day with breakout sessions in the afternoon.
June 3 (Sat) | SKILLS DAY | Centre for Interprofessional Clinical Simulation Learning (CICSL)
Participants will work in teams on the following procedures:
- The outpatient eye exam and slit lamp use
- Trigger finger injections
- Naloxone basic life-support
- Basic Point-of-Care Ultrasound
- Myofascial trigger point injections
- Long-Acting Reversible Contraception Insertion Devices (LARC) and Intrauterine Devices (IUDs)
- Skin Procedures: Incisional biopsy and cryosurgery, excisions and EDC
