RCCbc offers grants for rural doctors, residents and medical students to pursue innovative rural research, knowledge translation and global and planetary health projects. Grants are also available for rural continuing medical education opportunities in their communities.
Rural Physician Research Grant
The Rural Physician Research Grant empowers rural physician researchers—or new aspiring researchers—to pursue innovative rural research and knowledge translation projects that help advance rural health in British Columbia.
Rural Global Health Partnership Initiative
The Rural Global Health Partnership Initiative offers grants to support projects spearheaded by British Columbia’s rural physicians or medical trainees and their partners based in underserved rural communities in British Columbia, other parts of Canada, or internationally.
Specialist, Sub-Specialty, Indigenous & Funding for Innovation (SPIFI)
SPIFI offers funding to eligible specialists, family physicians with sub-specialties, and Indigenous communities for planning, developing and delivering innovative community rural continuing medical education opportunities.
