Survey gives clearer picture of PoCUS use
Launched in the fall of 2021, the survey was designed to determine how this practice-changing, innovative technology is being used throughout the province. Surveys were sent to over 1,000 rural clinicians, who answered questions about POCUS education, how it is being used and how often, and what supports might be required to improve comfort and safety.
BC Pediatrician Dr. Kirsten Miller wins national award
A prestigious national award is being presented to Dr. Kirsten Miller, a long-time member of the Rural Coordination Centre of BC team. Dr. Miller has won the Canadian Pediatric Society’s Distinguished Community Paediatrician Award, presented annually to someone who has demonstrated a significant contribution to the field of community pediatrics.
