The Rural Site Visits team is visiting all 202 rural, remote, and First Nations communities in BC that are covered by the (RSA) to learn their perspectives on healthcare delivery. The team are eager to get back on the road and into communities when it’s safe to do so, following a long hiatus caused by COVID-19.

When Dr. Ezekial Steve arrived in Robson Valley for his locum in January 2025, he expected long days covering Valemount and McBride. But this placement was different—a pilot project testing whether Real-Time Virtual Support (RTVS) could handle overnight care while a single locum managed daytime coverage.
