Rural POCUS Rounds supports rural healthcare professionals in building POCUS skills, confidence, and community through interactive, case-based learning delivered via Zoom. Participants also gain insight into additional training opportunities, as our presenters are highly engaged POCUS practitioners across British Columbia.

 

Key Speakers

Dr. Kevin Fairbairn completed his family practice residency with UBC in Chilliwack, followed by an Emergency Medicine +1 at St. Paul’s Hospital and a PoCUS fellowship at UBC. He now works primarily in the emergency department in Nelson, BC. Dr. Fairbairn enjoys being involved in ultrasound education and the continued evolution of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) skills. Outside of medicine, Kevin is currently recovering from the many injuries that come with having three small children.
