Real-Time Virtual Support (RTVS) can be used in a variety of ways to support Residents as they take the first steps towards independent medical practice in rural, remote or Indigenous communities.
RTVS Simulations
Real-Time Virtual Support partnered with UBC CPD to bring simulations to rural residency sites across the province. Feedback from the project was very positive with participants reporting that they felt more comfortable at the idea of practising at a rural site knowing that RTVS was there. The UBC CPD RTVS Simulation team can continue to support residents planning to practice in rural communities by providing an opportunity to gain first-hand experience, through simulation, of how they can integrate RTVS into their practice in the future.
If you have any questions please contact the UBC CPD RTVS Simulation team at [email protected].
RTVS Resident Rounds
RTVS Resident Rounds was an educational series offered by the RTVS program to increase physician residents’ exposure to medical practice in rural BC.
The sessions no longer take place, but residents are encouraged to watch any of the recordings from 2021 and 2022.
