The Real-Time Virtual Support (RTVS) Quick Reply Orthopaedics pathway is for rural and remote healthcare providers who need an orthopaedic consultation for their patient.
Call RTVS Orthopaedics
Providers can call the RTVS Orthopaedics pathway for any musculoskeletal pathology, excluding spine-related ailments.
All available orthopedic providers are trained as general orthopedic surgeons, with additional subspecialty training in various areas. Orthopaedics covers a broad spectrum of pathologies, and the goal of the team is to provide recommendations for orthopedic issues, including initial management, investigations, and the best possible referral pathways for patients, if needed.
If a consultation falls outside a provider’s scope of practice, they will make every effort to provide appropriate recommendations for alternative referral avenues.
