The Real-Time Virtual Support (RTVS) Quick Reply SCI Nav (Spinal Cord Injury Navigation) pathway is for rural and remote healthcare providers who need the support of an interdisciplinary care team knowledgeable about spinal cord injuries. The service is led by an experienced team at GF Strong in Vancouver, and is a province-wide service operating as part of the health system to help clinicians ensure the best care possible for patients with spinal cord injury.
Call RTVS SCI Nav
The SCI Nav service is managed by a nurse navigator who triages calls from clinicians. The nurse navigator will also be taking calls from patients so please specify that you are a clinician.
For clinicians, the service provides free and friendly clinical support from an expert peer to assist in their interactions with persons living with SCI. This may take the form of advice, training, or participation in three-way consultations with their patients.
The SCI Nav service is connected with the G.F. Strong Rehabilitation Centre and supported by the Rick Hansen Foundation, Spinal Cord Injury B.C. and the VGH & UBCH Foundation.
The pathway will not be able to assist with navigating issues specific to a patient’s community pharmacy (for example, site specific procedures and policies). They will also not be able to mediate issues specific to a patient’s health insurance policy.
Connect with the nurse navigator by adding RTVS SCI Nav as a Zoom contact. You can message them in Zoom for an appointment.
